Sarah GettElfinger And DRS?

I love Sarah in this role. But I'm curious when is her contract her up? Anyone know?

Because I would love to see the lovely and talented Michelle DeJean in the role. Michelle is Chicago veteran - known as the "sexy redhead" from the ensemble. And last Spring she got to take over the role full time when Charlotte left for Charity. Michelle was such a hit - she is now starring in the National Tour as Roxie.

And I think she would make a fantastic Jolene.

I would just love to see her as Jolene! I wish they could get her to replace to Sarah when her contract is up.

Alright first off, I'm not usually that stingent of it but since you always diss and make fun of Rent and Wicked fans who spell cast members' name wrongs, it is Sara Gettelfinger.

Second, I certainly have no problem w/ threads w/ this intention, to suggest people who would be good or who you would like to see in the role. However, I just think there's a way you could have more appropriately posted this thought.

First, if the intention of your post was essentially to describe a person, in this case, Michelle who you think would be great in a role, it makes more sense to title the thread "Michele Dejean as Jolene" or something to that effect, just more synchronized w/ what you're saying.

But along w/ that, often in these posts, a poster will say something to the effect of, when so and so's contract is up, I think this person would be great in the part, flat-out ask oh when is her contract up b/c I want this person to take over. One gets the feeling that you hope Sara's contract will be up soon so Michelle could take over, even though you have to go out of your way to say you love Sara in the role. I dunno, I apologize for misinterpretting it, but I took this post to essentially mean wow I want Sara's contract to be up so she can take over, which I think is kind of rude. I apologize if that is not the intention, though I would suggest making noted changes to not give people the idea that was the intention.

Finally to answer your question, the principles' contracts currently run through the beginning of January. All of the principles are re-negotiating(though I'm still confused on Sherie, maybe hers is for a couple of weeks?) and would like to stay. Don't know anything for sure, but I'd venture to guess Sara will be staying at least through the summer. Possibly longer after that...if they would like her to. I know she's very happy right now, she loves the show and the part, and given that her role is a cameo, it gives her freedom and freetime to work on other projects. Hopefully she'll be sticking around in the show for quite a while, she is wonderful as Jolene.

I don't understand what I did wrong? Go find the posts from that little chick who makes a dream cast thread for every damn show.

All I was saying was - I think Sarah was fantastic in DRS. But she will have to leave the show someday. And I would like to see one of my favorite rising stars in the role, who is getting rave reviews on tour in Chicago.

Oh and find me one thread where I "make fun" of people for spelling a stars name wrong. FIND ONE thread. I wake up at 6 am this post was made at almost 1 am, what do you want from me? I missed a letter in her name! OH NO!

Thank you for writing me a book though, I enjoyed you're little novel on this topic.

Sherie told me she was in until January 31.
