When did Sarah Jane leave the Chicago company of "Wicked"? She is no longer listed on the website, and according to Maria Eberline, Erin Mackey from the tour (who recently joined the Chicago cast as a Swing) is the new Glinda u/s. I am sad to see that Sarah Jane left! She was a terrific Glinda
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
I was hoping to see her rather that Stacie, who I ended up hating.
I didn't know she left... maybe that's why Stacie was back.
It would also explain why Stacie came back before I believe her vocal cords were fully healed, since she seemed to be holding back... a lot. Updated On: 4/18/06 at 10:02 PM
I hated her when I saw her, but then I heard in a thread that she bruised her vocal cords and that's why she was out for so long. Then I realized that it did seem like she was holding back, since for some reason she hit the last note of Thank Goodness perfectly, but that was the only one.
Justchillin8908, so what did you think of Stacie's performance? No, really, I'm just curious because you never mention it, like, not at all, in EVERY SINGLE THREAD. Look, Stacie had been back in the show since March 28th or something and she had gotten many great reviews around the same time you saw her. Did she have an off night vocally when you saw her? Maybe. I don't know I wasn't there, it's possible. But I'm quite certain if she did it had nothing to do with any prior injuries. Clearly she just wasn't your cup of tea....we get it.
