She was fair as Winnifred... I enjoyed her performance, but I can't see her doing anything past roles of that caliber because of her so-so vocal ability.
EDIT: All I can remember when I think of SJP on a Broadway stage is her and Hugh on the Tonys...
HUGH: So pretty, you look like a ballerina. Are you a dancer?
SJP: No.

I saw SJP is H2$ with Matthew. I really only knew her back then as the girl in The Flight of the Navigator movie and some other stuff. I really liked her, she was funny and sang sweetly, if not a big voice.
I would love to see her on Broadway. As anyone can see from the new GAP ads, she can strut and strike a pose better than anyone. Luv her!

Sarah Jessica Parker at The Witch, anyone?
I've never heard her sing.

Posted: 8/22/04 at 1:38amHonestly I think if there was ever a time to revive a show like 'A Chorus Line', now would be that time. SJP would make the most marvalous Cassie and would provide a draw to a show that has been dying to be revived over the last few years. I mean, come on... 'Chicago' originaly opened the same year as 'A Chorus Line' and it has had it's glory as a revival. Now it is time for 'A Chorus Line' to take center stage once again and restore its former glory. If the Weissler's are listening... this is your chance! Sieze it while you can. It would be 'fabulous' like those Prada glasses!

Posted: 8/30/04 at 4:13amI only saw her sing once and it was on the Tony Awards for Matress. I was embarrassed for her because she sounded so awful but maybe it was an off night for her. I seem to remember how the applause the number got was lukewarm to say the least.

Sarah Jessica Parker is hands down, the nicest woman I have ever met in my entire life.
Sarah honey, if you are reading this I want you to know that your generosity is something my father and I have never forgotten and in my book, you are the definition of kindness.

She was totally cute as a brunette and extremely winsome in H2S. Her post-SatC interviews have her wanting to produce and direct more.
The Gap ads rocked with her and Lenny.

Posted: 8/30/04 at 1:04pmI just realised that I kind of have an SJP story myself, so I retract my (jokey) namedropper comment from earlier. I used to work in the box office for Mamma Mia! in London and she came to see it in its first year with Matthew Broderick. The company manager of MM! looked after them the whole night and the next day, she phoned the box office to get his cell phone number so she could call and thank him for being such a great host to them.
