I think she would be fantastic. She's a really good singer and has that cute voice and personality, I totally think she could pull it off! anyone else agree?
Being in her mid-30s, I'm thinking Sarah might be a little too old to play the role now.

She looks too old I'd think, but if they allowed her to improvise I'd love to be at that show!

She'd be hilarious, but I don't know about the age thing; I think she looks like she's mid-20's...

nah, I don't think so. Sarah can't be confined to the limits of a part like that.

haha that's true, she commands a lot..
I have to agree, it would be HYSTERICAL to see Sarah on stage, but she is a little too old to be playing Penny...
I lover her, but no way.

Aside from the fact that she's too old, her energy would absolutely kill the show.
Now I have to go try and shake the image out of my head.
She's a riot, and would definitely bring something new to the character, but her age isn't the most desireable. And as it is, given the track record with casting, all of the young leads are in their early to mid 20s.
But given the artistic freedom, she might give Jackie Hoffman a run for her money with the ad-libs.

Give her a few years and she'd make a wonderful Prudy!

"artistic freedom?"
Trust me -- there's not nearly as much artistic freedom in that part as you might think. Although, if she's a name, she could get away with it.
I don't enjoy her comedy, I don't enjoy her at all.
A lot of other female stand ups can kick her butt, I hope she never gets close to a Broadway stage, and Penny Pingleton in particular.

I agree with you, Muscle! She just comes off like a mean girl who wants to impress boys by talking dirty. That's it! Her comedy is negative & mean.
I have never found her "comedy" funny either. I just don't get it.

that's a really good point, she is too old. I think she's in her mid-thirties! But she could definetely deliver the part well, I think, without any ad-libbing.
I'd like to see her as Prudy Pingleton/Female Authority Figure if she were ever to do anything in Hairspray. Now in those roles she'd be a hoot!! I agree, she's too old for the part of Penny.
Cheers,

Yeah she is a little older, but seriously if she has the voice and the acting talent to pull it off why not?
I don't think she looks that old, and personally I have never heard her sing, but if she does have the talent, give her a shot atleast.
OMG, I can't stand her. i don't think she's made me laugh once. her humor is way too harsh for me.
I'd love to see her in something like Spelling Bee where she can improvise and such. Damn, that girl is funny!
