? Anyone think so i think she could pull it off i just dont think stephanie is talented enough, but guys when idina leaves they are also in talks of putting shoshana as the role......but wut do u think about sarah?it could happen?

I wouldn't consider it a done deal until is it officially announced by a more reliable source. People say things like that all the time.

Yeah, it's easy for someone to say "Hey, I know an actor who knows Stephanie who says she will definitely play Elphaba." I just did. Don't take it seriously yet; treat it as a rumor until there is an official press release or article or something.

Quibbler, I feel like they're trying to keep the Stritch thing a secret. Why else wouldn't there be any mention of it anywhere?

Sorry for this, but sarcasim is getting the better of me... I think James Earl Jones would be a BRILLIANT Elphaba...

First of all, it's been announced Harvey Fierstein will be the next Elphaba.

Shoshana would be an awsome Elphaba!!! Shoshana for president! 2005!

She was my icon for a while, I changed it to Laura Michelle Kelly becasue at this shot, I look just like her.

I think Stephanie J. Block would be a great Elphaba considering the fact that she was the one who helped with the music for the role before Idina was cast. She really is an incredible performer and I think she would be great considering when Idina leaves they will need someone with some fanbase to bring people into the show. Think of all of her fans from Boy From Oz.... I think she is a great choice.

I understand everyone's skepticism. I was skeptical too when this award winning musical comedy leading man who has starred opposite Stephanie told me that she was definitely taking over the part. He then repeated to me that yes, it was a done deal. I feel inclined to believe him more than any post I read on this board. But of course we'll never be 100% sure until it is officially announced.

I don't think she'd be right for the role at all, even though I LOVE everything she has done. I've followed her since her Les Mis days...she's usually the ingenue type, isn't she? Wouldn't she be a better Galinda? I don't know if she'd fit either role...

is anyone planning in seeing her in Cinderella? I wish I could go! (but alas, I'm in LA)

I love this woman! Im seeing Cinderella on Sunday through TDF :)

Also, I think she would be a better Glinda than Elphaba.
