Coming out there for a quick weekend trip in November, Have done what I cal a "Theatre Trifecta" (3 shows in one day--even did 4 shows 1 time when Hedwig was open). Have had some Great Experiences with the likes of "Here Lies Love" and "Murder Ballad". Have also had some Not so great experiences. Haven't we all.
That said--I am looking for a show to take in. Do not mind taking a train to another area of the city (Time permitting). So far the only thing I have found is "Hell's Belles" at the Electra Theatre. Looks like Campy fun, though I have not heard any mention of it on any of the boards.
So any other suggestions? (Would be Saturday Nov 14th)
Saw Hell's yesterday. It is no Chorus Line but it is good campy fun . The cast of 4 is super talented. The concept is fun and the cast pulls it off. You should enjoy yourself.
Thanks Mr Roxy! BTW--what was the running Time on It?
Allegedly 85 minutes. It started about 15 minutes after the stated time so suggest you give it about 1:45 in your computations.
By the way, the entrance is around the corner on 43rd Street as the main entrance on 8th avenue is closed.
Fuerza Bruta has a 5pm show, and definitely fun if you never saw it before, more of an experience than a show, though?
I was at Hell's Belles on Saturday and, had I not been seated dead center with three or four people on either side, I would have walked about 10 minutes in. But that's just me.
If the midpoint of your trifecta can be a little flexible time-wise, you could take in Naked Boys Singing (6pm Saturday, 1 hour) or Sistas (430 Saturday, about an hour and a half). Both are great fun! If you want something a little more thought-provoking, I really enjoyed Joe Assadourian's The Bullpen (Saturday at 4, just over an hour).
Have a safe, enjoyable trip!

Colin Quinn's The New York Story has a 5:00 Saturday show and I believe it's only a little over an hour
Thanks for the advice. Have done some of these, but the Colin Quinn sounds interesting.
Any more ideas--send them out.
Any new advice for between-show-shows like this? Not too excited about Hell's Belles with the feedback here...
