I enjoyed the show, though Patrick Cassidy did not really impress me at all. However I LOVED AMY ADAMS. She was absolutely PHENOMINAL and totally convinced me that theater is the place for her. I can always tell when someone is singing incorrectly, and, in watching AI, many of the singers usually are, but she was absolutely amazing. Did anyone see the production?
i am seeing it in january in WPB, FL glad u enjoyed it mister.
and I'm seeing it in May in LA....can't wait
I will likely see it in LA in May as well.
I love Joseph...Dreamcoat.
Not at all thrilled about Patrick Cassidy. In fact, I'd love to see his understudy Timothy A. Fitz-gerald. (yes, he spells it with the hyphen)
He was in "The Boy From Oz" on Broadway and I saw him in a production of "The Rocky Horror Show" here in LA and he was quite good as Brad.
Patrick has a nice body though-LOL

i saw the tour in boston and he was ok, but he didn't have that great of a body. He had a makeup-enhanced six pack. it was kind of funny becuase the more you watched him the more you knew something was off. One thing that really bothered me was during "close every door to me" he used way too much vibrato. it was like someone was shaking him. One of my pet peeves is when people use vibrato imporperly. It is nice when it is at the end of a long note. It sounds dumb when it at the beginning and continues through the entire note (another example of this is Hasselhoff in Jekyll and hyde)
Vibrato is a funny thing. For me it was his tone quality that was lacking, and I felt as if he used his vibrato to compensate for his pitchiness. And he did not have a made up six pack yesterday-he must have been working out.

I saw the tour and wasn't overly impressed. It's a nice bit of fluffy theater, but I certainly wouldn't call it wonderful. Cassidy was OK as Joseph, but had the most awful hair that inspired a heated argument over whether it was a wig or just naturally terrible. Either way, we couldn't imagine why anyone would choose that particular look for Joseph. Nice body...for a 40+ year old man playing the youngest of 12. Thank God for suspended reality.
Amy Adams has a nice voice, but not much stage presence. She was fine to watch, but didn't have the "it" that makes for a spectacular Narrator.
For all the times I've seen Joseph, I still cannot stand the disco remix at the end. Pointless.
Uhh I HATE the remix. Worst part of the show BY FAR!
Is this the Amy in JUNEBUG?
I'm fascinated a show that's been done by so many middle schools, summer camps, churches/synagogues would pack 'em in, especially with a 40 year old star. When Donny Osmond toured, and soap star Michael Damien hit b'way, it made reasonable sense. The score is always pleasant, but it's such a thin slice of storytelling, it borders on children's theater. But with high prices.

I haven't seen the production, but I did help build the sound rig and I may be on a few legs of the tour this summer. If that's the case, I'll be seeing it a lot!

No she is not the Amy from Junebug. She is from american idol.
I saw it in Chicago. Agree.... Cassidy... not so great. Passable at best. Amy Adams I liked. She had the pipes... not a ton of stage presence, but carried the vocals quite well. The brothers were quite funny, and I really enjoyed the Benjamin Calypso. I am not sure why older men keep getting the part of Joseph, but despite that, overall very good tour.
I saw it in boston and loved amy adams but was dissapointed in the rest of the show. The thing was i hadn't seen the show since it was last on broadway and i was much younger. I was in love with it. Now that I am older, i found it to be very cheesy. it could just be my taste.
