That 1974 production also benefitted from Williams' final script (which, despite arguably being not at his best by that time is one of the few times I think his final rewrite of one of his works was an improvement).

Why would Scarlet be slightly too young? She's not too much younger than Bel Geddes was in the original production, I believe.

The script also mentions numerous times that brick is only about five years out of college, and as he and maggie got married right out of college.

I hope Renner could deal with the speculation which might come along with the role!

Chris Pine is a much less interesting choice than Renner, for certain. But I'm just excited for Scarlett Johansson to be back on Broadway.
