So, I love scenic design. It's def. and interest and not a passion. But I just love a good set. Like the recent Company revival. Gorgeous. 

But I fell down a rabbit's hole of YouTube and curious what was the first show to start using elevator lifts (or scenery coming from the floor?) and I don't mean like the candles in Phantom, but like actual set pieces?
