Believe there is quite a bit wrong with the name...
For starters, it doesn't exactly scream commercial friendly...
Who decides if Hugh Jackman gets to ruin this show?

SF, why do you think Jackman would be so wrong for this?
Legitimately curious to hear your thoughts...
I was hoping the show was good enough that it required someone who could sing.
Can I assume you didn't catch Jackman's Oklahoma! in London? Unless my memory is failing, he could certainly sing back then.

And Barbra Streisand said that the concept of her ENCORE album was initiated by the Hamlisch unproduced duet of ANY MOMENT NOW and that she wanted Hugh Jackman as her singing partner! That duet is another proof that Hugh can sing - in a studio... or on stage... or live on a film set ( where the director places emphasis on acting and singing complements the acting choices)!

Ditto. Besides, ask any producer of musicals who he/she would dream cast, and Hugh Jackman's name rises to the top. A movie star triple threat who loves the stage and who puts behinds in seats like nobody else in musicals is still a pretty rare --and insanely popular -- commodity.

One of my favorite quotes about Jackman during the London production of Oklahoma! was the actress who played Aunt Eller saying that after Hugh sang there wasn't a dry seat in the house... hah!

The same lady (actress Maureen Lipmann) who said that for a particular charity cause : " I'd sent Hugh out into the audience to auction his body - I was prepared to go up to seven million myself"
Btw, I was lucky to have seen the London Oklahoma! at the Lyric Theatre when it transferred there in 1999. I did not know who the leading man was ( I went because I am a great fan of Rodgers & Hammerstein and had never seen Oklahoma! live) and my seat in front of Dress Circle did not allow me to see him up close. But I thought he was great because he did have a legit singing voice ( vocal power was tremendous) and had strong stage presence from the way he moved around. I kept waiting for this actor to return to the West End...never realizing that he actually moved away and went to Hollywood ![]()

Stephanie J. Block comments on working with Hugh Jackman --
http://www.haineshisway.com/interview-section/interview-stephanie-block/
"BK: You, Stephanie J. Block, are working with Mr. Hugh Jackman – even though Oz got mixed reviews, Mr. Jackman came through unscathed. Tell us all about working with Mr. Hugh Jackman.
SB: He deserves every word of praise. He’s a wonderful talent with so much charm and charisma. His work ethic and discipline inspire everyone around him and he’s a dream to work with. I really can’t say enough good things. I’m so blessed to share the stage with him…all the while he’s telling us (the rest of the cast) how brilliant we are and how happy he is doing the show. Hugh has become a friend and is really the “father” of this show. The backstage life at “…Oz” is so happy and beautiful. He set the standard and everyone followed suit. It’s a joy to come to work. How many people can say that?"

I've seen it and it's not.
They need Hugh Jackman way more than he needs this show.

he's saying the show is bad. if it comes to america, hugh jackman's star power would be a huge asset to the show, whereas hugh doesn't need the show.
