Via Broadway.com's Stage Notes Blog:
"Sherie Rene Scott seems to have ruffled some feathers with the poster for her upcoming BC/EFA benefit extravaganza You May Now Worship Me, which will be held at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre on March 31. The original artwork, which featured the Little Mermaid diva sporting stigmatas on her palms (yes, religion is a talked-about topic in the show), was quietly changed on the BC/EFA website today, to a Photoshopped new version that removed the offending religious symbols..."

Hate censorship and I'm sure Sherie wasn't behind changing it,
BUT
We must remember that if this is to benefit BC/EFA, I'm sure that they want to offend as few people as possible because they are looking to, above all, make money for the organization.

It is always the squeaky wheel that gets the grease.
Having worked in public relations for years, I always find it odd that the one person who is offended and walks out of a show wanting a refund thinks their opinion of the show is more valid than the 1,499 other people who stayed and enjoyed it.
