Please god, no musical Grey's Anatomy. Please.
Does anyone know the running time for the Scrubs musical? Will it only be a half hour?

The Avenue Q guys are doing it, so I'm pretty hopeful.
I'd imagine it will be a half hour like usual Scrubs episodes.
And, OMG they're doing a House parody?? YES!

Intresting interview (especially Marx defending people who burn copies of Avenue Q CDs, even though he gets royalties from those who buy)...
...the only thing that bothered me was that he looks like, what's a good word here? Umm, crap, I would say. Maybe he was just really burnt out or something, but those bags under his eyes were a bit unsettling...

Out of the two songs I have now heard from the Scrubs musical episode, i've decided that I think this is going to be really lame.
NBC.com has the entire song, "Everything Comes Down to Poo", in a video now on their web site.
Why the hell are they casting Stephanie d'Abruzzo in this role? She doesn't even get to sing in any of the songs. It's all Zach Braff & Donald Faison. Ehh, i'm overeacting. It's only been two songs, but still! I wanna see some songs with Stephanie!

Was Cop Rock before or after Hull High (I think that was the name--a high school drama with songs) I was 9 when it was on and I remember one song with a hot teacher the guys all liked and the lyrics they sang ina fantasy sequence to her while she was teachin gabout English terms "soft and smooth as a peach/this is a figure of speech" (I swear I'm not making that up) I think it lasted, like, 3 eps...
Or before both remember Rags to Riches? I musta been only 6 or so at the time--group of orphans adopte dby a rich bchelor in the 1960s--the songs were usually new lyrical takes on 50s/60s rock songs

Jeez, do you know how hard it is loving Scrubs and not finding anything on this musical...
Does anyone know when it will be/was on?

The Scrubs producers had cast Stephanie after seeing I LOVE YOU BECAUSE.
I don't think Stephanie had anything to do with the Avenue Q connection. They probably just wanted someone to compose the music and make it funny at the same time and most people nowadays think of Avenue Q.

You know, I bet some producer out there is sitting there thinking "Hmmmmmmmmm" and this might turn out to be the seed for a new trend on Broadway itself. Imagine, if you will:
BUFFY! THE MUSICAL
(well, that's a given, so let's seach a little wider, shall we?)
WE'LL TAKE MANHATTAN -- FRIENDS! THE MUSICAL
OH DAD POOR DAD -- THE KING OF QUEENS! THE MUSICAL
MEN BEHIND BARS -- OZ! THE OPERA (because a prison show would be too butch to be called a musical, y'know)
WE'RE GONNA DANCE ALL NIGHT -- 24! THE MUSICAL (WITH *NO* INTERMISSIONS)
The possibilities are truly frightening.....

It airs on the 18th, and I am anxiously looking forward to it. Scrubs is one of my favorite shows, and it's no coincidence that they have a lot of musical theatre buffs for fans. The series has always been very musical-minded, with frequent homages to musical theatre (not quite on the scale of FAMILY GUY but still pretty good). So this has the makings to be the best musical TV episode of them all.
SOME RANDOM BROADWAY-RELATED SCRUBS TRIVIA:
- the creator Bill Lawrence and actors Robert Maschio (Todd) and Sam Lloyd (Ted) all are theatre buffs and have musical theatre backgrounds to some degree
- Ken Jenkins (Dr Kelso) is the father of Daniel Jenkins and appeared with him as a replacement in BIG RIVER
- Aloma Wright (Nurse Roberts) toured in AINT MISBEHAVIN and performed with Jennifer Holliday in a gospel show
- Dr Grace Miller (Turk's attending surgeon throughout season 3, who made him late for his wedding) was played by Bellamy Young- who created the role of ingenue hooker Mary in THE LIFE and can be heard on the cast album
"The last train out of any station will not be full of nice guys." - Dr. Hunter S. Thompson
"I wash my face, then drink beer, then I weep. Say a prayer and induce insincere self-abuse, till I'm fast asleep"- In Trousers

"WE'RE GONNA DANCE ALL NIGHT -- 24! THE MUSICAL (WITH *NO* INTERMISSIONS) "
Oh God. I just bust a gut laughing.
"Ah the city. So many lights you can actually pretend one of them is shining on you."
CLIFF: "There was a cabaret and there was a master of ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany - and it was the end of the world and I was dancing with Sally Bowles - and we were both fast asleep"
