Yeah its probably haunted. All of the broadway theaters have a ghost or spirit, if not more. Thats why they put the ghostlight when the theater is closed.

Hate to maybe spoil the fun, but when I saw it, it was not that seat? Maybe they change it around to actually "surprise" the person instead of everybody and their dog calling in for that seat and driving the ticket people crazy?! Just a thought, maube someone can enlighten us?
Oh, starlight. Please, don't tell me that... Well, you already did, but noooooo! No... But it would just be another checkmark next to the "Bri Gets Shot Down in the Wake of Curry" count. Which would make a very sad 5 checkmarks...
jesseeinstein - I'll PM you
Anytime now. Waiting for a PM.
Sent one, vbplayer... As for me, I'm waiting for a fear-assuaging session...
What about the Monty Python reference the seat number makes? (I'm not panicking at all.)
starlight - what seat was it?

And spoil your fun?! Not me! seat number 101,102,103...sold to the highest bidder...left orchestra, right orchestra, center orchestra...I am so darn mean! But the real joy is the show, the funniest I have seen on Broadway in a very long time and the most enjoyable night!Sit back, relax, and at the appointed time, if it happens, it happens! break a leg!
*hits floor really hard* Lovely...

Folks, just look at Magictodo82's avatar. She was in seat A101 in Chicago. The picture is of her with Tim Curry and Hank Azaria, and they are in costume, so it's not like it was taken at the stage door!
Starlight2 - literally hundreds of people have posted on this and other boards about Spamalot, and not one of them has mentioned any seat other than A101.
Thank you for that, Jon. Come one come all, see how easy it is to dash/ressurect my hopes! Wee! But now I'm going to be fidgety about this till the show... I'm obsessive.
I don't see why they would change it to any other seat. There are jokes in the script regarding that seat number and its pronunciation. Changing it every night to a different seat would mean script changes every night , which I'm sure don't happen.

not to mention two large pieces of scenery...

I have seat B-101 -- does this mean I have a front row seat to see all the fun

I wouldn't worry, there's a large piece of scenery involved that (at least when I saw it) dictates the seat number. I can't imagine they have multiple pieces?:)

ok,ok! I just think the whole fun of being "seat 101" or the people next to it, is the element of surprise, and my dear friend who is in the show said they have really thought about changing the seat around because of the box office problems of asking for that ticket and because it is just not as fun for anyone when someone knows ahead of time and even starts blabbing to those around him or her. Anyways, I was just trying to give a chance for someone to be surprised, i give up.
It will go down as one of my favorite shows on Broadway, along with, of course, "Hairspray", "Rent" and anything Liza does! I will say that the dancing and cast of "Movin Out" will also always have a special place in my memories!
I adored the show, and would have felt the same way had I been in the back row of the balcony.:) I can't wait to get to NYC and see it in its revised form. Must see it again before my darlin' Hank departs in June or July.:)
I'm glad I knew ahead of time which seat to "avoid" before purchasing my ticket. I'm not one for audience participation of any kind. Like Jo, I'll have a nice view of the proceedings when I go to the show.

I've been good lomg enough, PM me with details PLEASE
starlight - agreed, it would be more fun, in theory, if the person didn't know beforehand... but seeing as I did know already, your past comment kind of hurled me from wonderdul "finally, YES!" cloud 9 and slammed me on pavement... Thank you, to both you, and everyone else, who solidified everything and banished my worry.
I love Monty Python, especially Holy Grail, so it's not to say that the Timness is my only reason for going. Far from it. However, when one discovers that their one and only idol is King Arthur, the stakes raise considerably. Today was a very bad day, so checking back here just now was awesome for me...
I feel so greedy, really. For even getting upset about it before, you know? It's just that, after being surprised like that, with something way beyond any possible expectations, things get weird. Of course I would absolutely still love the show to death minus the A101-ness! It just happens to be a very covetable cherry on the proverbial sundae... I think I'll shut up before I feel badly about anything else I manage to say...
P.S.
bdwaygirl - my friend was the same way. "Oh, God, Bri - I don't want to sit next to you anymore..."

I highly doubt they make script changes nightly.
Keep us posted and just remember to have fun. You'll be breathing all of a foot away from TIM!!!
Oooh, I can say Tim and I breathed the same air... Uh, in jest, of course, because that's such a silly thing to be happy abou-oh nevermind, weeeeeeeeeeee!

Transvestite, hope you have as wonderful a night as I did and enjoy the show as I did, my sides hurt from laughing, not something I experienced a few nights later with DRS! Anyways, hope your "dreamseat" comes true!
