Seating at the Marquis Theatre

I've never been to this theatre and I am thinking about getting tickets for Evita - most of the orchestra seems sold out except for the extreme sides. Has anyone ever sat on the far left or right and had their view obstructed and cut off due to walls/poles - I don't want to pay $150.00 a ticket for a poor view.

Thanks in advance.

That depends largely on the show. For Follies at the Marquis, only the very extremes (as in last few seats on either side) didn't have a full view of the stage, in my experience. This was largely irrelevant as you missed little to no action. For Evita, it's all going to depend on the set and also how it's staged (ie. how much will you miss in the corners and how important will that be). There's no real way to know how it's all going to pan out until previews start and someone can report back.

Just my opinion but why not sit in the mezz it's not a bad view in the Marquis and certainly it would be a better view than an obstructed view orchestra seat.
