Seats at Eugene O'Neill

I'm buying tickets to see The Book of Mormon this spring. We do not see shows in NYC very often, so we want to make sure we are getting good seats. I don't know that I've been in that theater before (at least if I have, it was a looonnngg time ago and i have no recall of what it looked like inside). I've read a bit about how cramped the seats in that theater are---and how legroom is a problem. We are both 'tall-ish' people -- 6 ft -- so if there are some seats that may be better, I'd love to know.

Currently I'm trying to decide between Left Orchestra, Row G, Seat 1 and 3; and Mezz Center, Row A, seats 105 & 106.

Is the Mezz a great view? Is the legroom in Mezz better or worse than it would be in Row G?

Help appreciated! Thank you!

I sat row A in the mezzo last year and don't remember leg room to be that tight but if you really worry about it I would take G on the aisle. you can always put your legs out a bit if it's too tight

The view ould be fine from both those spots. Cant help you w/leg room, I'm height challenged!

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I'm 5' 1", so take this with a grain of salt, but I think the leg room in the orch is slightly better.

I'm 6'2" with bad knees. We sat mid-row orch right in K 12-14. I don't recall a problem with leg room (usually, if I can slip my toes beneath the seat in front of me, I'm fine). My problem with the seat was the width. They are very narrow and packed closely together. While not huge, I'm a big guy (XL shirts). So is my husband, who sat to my right. Another big guy was to my left, so I saw the show sort of folded in sideways. An aisle will solve this.

Also, I haven't been in the front row of that mezz, but I have had problems with seats facing railings and dividers in other theaters. If I can't stick my toes beneath the row in front of me or have enough room to sit normally, I have to turn my feet or pivot (which can get uncomfortable).

Don't sit in K126/128 in the mezzanine. The seats were wedged in to fit a strange angle, so I had to put my legs sideways. They seats really shouldn't even be there.

I'm 6'3" and found the leg room to be fairly comfortable. The seats are very close together so if you are larger than petite the aisle seats will provide some extra shoulder space.

When you're on the aisle on the side (G 1 and 3) you can extend your legs into the aisle and the person in seat 3 can stretch their legs into the space in front of G-1. What's more the seat on the aisle has better visability generally with the open space of the aisle rather than heads in front of you. Definitely go for those!

I sat in the center mezz and I have also sat on the aisle left orchestra. I thought the leg room was fine in the mezz, and you can't beat the unobstructed view. The person sitting in the lateral seat in orchestra could get a tall person in front of them of you are on the aisle in orchestra. I am only 5'9' though, so if you are very tall the mezz still may be tight for you.
