I have a good friend who really wants to see the Pippin tour in Seattle. The issue is he has to book some major surgery for this Summer, so I was hoping to get tickets for him before the surgery. I've seen a lot of theatre in Seattle (he hasn't,) and usually have no trouble getting tickets in advance, but right now the Pippin tickets are only available for subscribers. Does anyone with knowledge of this system know how long it usually takes until individual show tickets get released?
My guess would be end of May. They are not there till August.
The Broadway at the Paramount ticket release schedule can be weird sometimes, I've seen it as early as five to six months and as late as two months before a show comes when you can buy individual tickets.
I would highly suggest subscribing to the Seattle Theatre Group's email list (stgpresents.org). It will notify you of ticket on sale dates, and many times they will have an "e-mail list subscriber pre-sale" which supplies you with a code to purchase tickets before the rest of the public, usually about a week to five days earlier, which is kinda a must for the more "hot ticket" shows, though I'm not entirely sure how much of a "hot ticket" Pippin will be here in Seattle.
I hope this helps, Eric!
I wonder how ticket sales will be as the Matilda tour will be in town at the same time over at the 5th Avenue?
