Saw the invited dress tonight.

It's pretty damn brilliant. MJL is usually a little too inaccessible for my tastes, but this score is gorgeous and fun. It's one of the smartest and most moving pieces of theatre I've seen in a long time. Fascinating piece - a story where I never knew what was going to happen. The entire production is lush and smart and fluid. Really really well done.

The cast is ridiculous - one for one.

Aaron Lohr should be a movie star, he's a phenomenal actor.

Aaron Lohr should be a movie star, he's a phenominal actor.

So phenominal actors are too good for Broadway now?

Oh jealous! I want to see it so badly. The story sounds so interesting and everything. Plus, the cast. Plus MJL. Wow.

I went to the invited dress last night as well. Looks like we don't agree...

Kasim, I've been told that it's a tiny house and that all the seats are actually pretty good.

I assume that since it's a short run, you should grab up whatever tickets are left if you want to see it.

There is a discount code for the show however. You can get $55.00 seats: http://www.theatermania.com/discounts/

i would really like a review. I am dying to go but i can't unfortunatlly. Details would be great!
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

Thanks Pantours.

I saw C13 .... it just seeemd REALLLLY on the side unfortunetly.

Thats why i was debating. DOnt think it'd be fun to see the entire show from a side???

Kasim, there really aren't any bad seats in the Anspacher. Sure, it's nicer to be in the center, but you won't miss anything being on the sides.

It's spelled "phenomenal."

And I agree, there's not really a bad seat in that theatre.

I saw a show in a theater similar to that shape. I was in Row B on one of the "sides" that wasn't directly facing the front of the stage. Considering it was a tiny theater, a lot of the action was really close to all the seats.

I'm seeing opening night of the previews tonight! I'm very excited, and hope to run home after the show to write a review.

Edit: Glad there are no bad seats. Cool.
