Yeah, I got an email a few days ago too. Did anyone's CD arrive yet?

Mine shipped out today also...Usually I get the Ghostlight/Sk stuff the next day...Here's hoping, as Monday is a holiday, so no mail til Tuesday!

I forgot Monday was a holiday. Ugh! This is my most wanted recording in a long time!

Yeah, I didn't realize it either until I walked by the bank the other day.

I think this is the second time in recent memory where something shipped right before a holiday. Damnit! I want my Mary Testa and I want it NOW!

Aside from the title song, I was rather unimpressed with the score. Perhaps I will like it after hearing it a few more times.

Well if you were expecting the usual Idina fare, then it clearly will sound weird. I latch onto LaChiusa scores after the first listen. I adore this man's work. I really believe he is the future of musical theatre.

My enjoying the title song only has nothing to do with it being sung by Idina. If this was the case, I would've enjoyed her other songs as well.
And just for the record, most of my attention was focused on Marc Kadish, especially during the second act when he was showing lots of flesh.
I have no affinity for or attraction to Ms. Menzel.

I got mine today too - and it is glorious - I'm glad they preserved so much of the score - I hate when shows get stripped down to the "basic" songs.
It sounds beautiful. And I love how you can hear each individual voice so well - very intimate.

Now what would you say if today I started over?
Without a thing but this taped together four leaf clover
And I'll pretend like everything is already alright
And I'll run toward the sun till the castle's out of sight

Rub it in why don't you!! I'm with Bobby on this one...I love me my Mary Testa and the distance between us hurts. I really dislike that it will not possibly ship on Sunday and Monday. I probably won't get it until Wednesday taking into account where it ships from and that I live in New Jersey.
I hate that God graced me with no patience.

Ghostlight/Sh-k-boom have shipped cd's in the past on Sunday, so I wouldn't rule it out. I live on the West Coast and it usually takes about 3-4 days.

"Tonight I kiss my lover for the last time. My husband knows our secret, I've confessed my guilt.."
My friends friend got it and sent her the whole cd, but I got just Kesa and its been on repeat for about 30 minutes at least. It is perfection. So far, Idina blows herself away from the wicked recording. I can't wait for mine to get to my house asap, hoping for tomorrow!

I was not expecting this recording to be better than Sweeney Revival, but since I was pretty disappointed by that, it seems it won't be difficult for SWIWS to do. The quality is perfect and from what I can say so far, it will be something worth the anticipation. Ahh I honestly am so excited for it. I must thank broadwaygiant19122 though for actually convincing me to pre-order. If he is reading, I want him to get my appreciation!

Do any fellow Canadians out there know of any major retailers here likely to be carrying it sooner than the "official date" (March 7th) such as Future Shop, HMV, Best Buy, etc.? I'm afraid that it's not "mainstream" enough (bastards) to show up in a Music World or HMV right away (a.k.a in-store & not having to be ordered on demand). I know amazon.ca says March 7th just like .com does, but just wondering if anyone knows when it will be available through *non* internet ways.
