Interesting to see what you guys thought. My professors have directed and musical directed the show, and (An)Drew Schufman is an alumnus of my school (I did a production of Working with him). I will probably be seeing the show this weekend. Michael John LaChiusa had a Q&A at my school this past Friday. He's a very interesting speaker and it was fascinating to hear how he creates the worlds within his shows.

Posted: 1/22/07 at 1:15amAgreed, MrMusic. Funny guy as well. When they were introducing him, they kept saying nominated for a Tony for this show and that show and after every one he would interject "and lost." It was quite amusing (not that he lost- the way he said it). :)

Posted: 1/22/07 at 11:19amHe was also making faces throughout the introduction (which simply consisted of someone reading his bio from the playbill) and doing the hand motion which usually means 'ok, lets just hurry this up already.
