Seeing 4 shows soon!

I just cannot contain my excitement! I'll be seeing Fiddler next weekend, then Bright Star and The Woodsman together a few days later, and finishing up with Waitress a week after that! I've been feeling down lately so I'm really looking forward to seeing all of these shows, and seeing two shows in one day!

My next goal is to see if I can get in Les Mis and/or King and I next month, which is my birthday month. There are so many good shows I want to see, but if anyone has any other show recommendations I'm open to hear them!

I hope you enjoy your shows! I would definitely recommend The King and I over Les Miserables :)

I loved Les Miz and The King and I. Both are wonderful as are Something Rotten, Beautiful, An American in Paris ad far as musicals go. For drama I loved A Long Days Journey Into Night.

Add She Loves Me to your list! This production is an absolute delight.

Thank you! Well the goal is to see both, eventually. I've never seen Les Mis on Broadway, and I know it's closing soon. Of course, The King and I is a classic childhood favorite that I've also not seen on Broadway. Ah, decisions.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions so far! An American Paris is already somewhere on my list of shows to see, I will have to add She Loves Me and check out the others as well. School of Rock does sound fun too, I liked that movie as a kid. I'm down for just about anything when it comes to shows. :)

If you're in NYC for a week, you should be seeing more than 4 shows. Grab some tix to some Off (and Off-Off) B'way shows as well!

Unfortunately I'm not staying in the city for that time, I am making separate day trips. I'm about an hour or so away. I'm considering a stay-in city trip towards the end of the year in which I will try to see multiple shows now that I have discovered discount codes and TKTS and the like, if I land a new job over the summer/fall.

If you're really set on seeing either The King and I or Les Mis, I would 10000% go with The King and I. But if you are considering other shows besides those two, She Loves Me and The Color Purple are great! Best of luck deciding :)

If you can squeeze it in before June 6 I would really recommend to see Daddy Long Legs Off-Broadway. It's a beautiful show, one of my favorites in New York from last season for sure, and one of my all-time favorite musicals now. You also can get tickets really cheaply, either through normal discounts or through Goldstar for only $30 (incl. fees).
