#1Seeing Pippin... have some questions
Posted: 9/14/14 at 8:41pmI've got tickets to see Pippin October 22. I've never seen pippin before and don't know much about it. How is the cast. The show itself and the view from the rear mezz. Is the Music Box a great theater to sit in the mezz?

Posted: 9/14/14 at 9:00pmThe show is really excellent. I’ve seen it 3 times, from all over the mezzanine and there isn’t a bad seat up there. The Music Box is a relatively small theater.

so lets start with the cast, Carly Hughes of Beautiful will be the leading player which leads the show. I dont know who will be Berthe the grandmother. Rachel Bay Jones as Pippin's lover is absolutely amazing, she is sooooo funny! Charlotte d'Amboise as Pippin's step mom is really good also she is a outstanding dancer, John Dosset is great from what i hear as Charles the king and Kyle Dean Massey as Pippin is great also, I personally liked MJT's performance better but KDM is great too! as for your seats, you will see great especially with this production! I have sat in the rear mezzo a lot and i was very happy.
ENJOY!!

The current cast is discussed at length here. Keep in mind, they will have both a new LP and a new Berthe starting shortly.

Posted: 9/15/14 at 4:28pmIs the show still as magical and spectacular from the first revival cast last year? Does it still live up to its hype?

Posted: 9/15/14 at 5:15pmThe show itself it amazing! I don't know how much it's changed because when I saw it Patina and Matthew were still in it, but I got front row rush tickets and the energy on the stage was outstanding, the ensemble is amazing! Look out for Orion Griffiths:)

Posted: 9/18/14 at 9:18pmI saw it with Kyle and hes a great Pippin, I really hope you get the chance to see him. The show is pretty big and the Music Box is small so I wouldn't worry about your view, you should be fine. Have fun!

Absolutely not. That cast could never be matched. But, I would imagine it's still enjoyable going forward.

I am done seeing the show. I saw it my final time last week. The stunt casting they are doing is horrible.
The magic is not the same. Just glad I got to see Andrea Martin one last time.
Anywhere in the Mezzanine is fine.
