Anyone planning on seeing the new immersive show "Seeing You"? Being a fan of shows like Sleep No More, Then She fell etc I was excited to check this out and did have tickets to the first show tomorrow night.
However, they have emailed me to let me know that tomorrow's show is no longer a regular performance, but an "Open dress rehearsal" with a talk with the director afterwards. They have refunded my tickets and offered the ability to purchase return tickets at a discounted price. Anyway, sounds like it will be an interesting evening tomorrow. Despite the changed nature of the performance I am planning on attending (hey it's now free, why not?) and will report back!

Did you end up seeing the dress rehearsal? I was looking forward to seeing the May 7th preview, but found out that it was cancelled due to a "persisting power issue" in the space.

flasaydah, it looks like this is quite a persistent problem! the dress was also cancelled. I re-bought tickets for June so hopefully they will work it out.
Thanks,

A friend of mine had tickets in May, but the show was cancelled due to power issues? I had forgotten about it until it popped up on TodayTix... has anyone seen this? Any reports?!

I saw this on Friday night. I mostly enjoyed it. I'd rank it higher than the other immersive show that's out there right now, Ghost Light.
The setup is wartime (WW2) Hoboken for a setting and I liked the use of war time paranoia and racism).
When you walk in it is essentially an open warehouse space with a ton of little scenes happening and you can work you way around to ones that interest you. This is on a much lower budget than sleep no more and I found it a bit overwhelming. There were multiple scenes happening at once and since things were not separated like sleep no more I found it hard to focus.
I liked the town hall set up that brings everyone together. from there you chose to either donate blood or go to boot camp. I did the blood section and wound up involved in amusing radiation exercise. Overall if you liked the one on one opportunities of sleep no more there aren't that many opportunities for them. Eventually everyone winds up together seeing the same thing. There are some beautiful dance scenes, including an impressive one with a table. I wished they hadn't used modern music as it took me out of the time period they were going for.
Overall it's a nice show, and entertaining, but I don't feel compelled to go back and see it again like Sleep No More. There is no bar or after show place to go so they don't have a nightlife component. FYI, be very careful with what you wear as there is some fake blood involved that can stain!
