I've seen Mamma Mia 23 times (+ another time in a couple weeks).

Others I've seen multiple times...Wicked, Rent We Will Rock You, Les Miserables, Matilda (by the summer)

Basically if I love the music, them I crave to see it over and over.

Starting with their out-of-town tryouts (Berkeley and Paper Mill) to their Broadway productions to their tour productions (including the non-equity versions of Idiot). When all said & done, both counts are over 50. Many of those repeat visits were to see an understudy or it was someone's last show, etc. There was a certain point where I was too familiar with the actual storyline and songs that it didn't faze me anymore, but with a change in cast, it made it different again. "

Geez, I thought my 26 times with american idiot was a lot. But 50 is amazing! another 25 could have been great!

I've seen Book of Mormon 15 times on Broadway and 13 on tour... my next highest number is Les Mis with 5 on Broadway and 5 elsewhere.

If I like a show (and I do like most shows I see, thankfully) I'll see it at least twice... some shows clearly just get ahead.

I can't think of a show I've seen and never wanted to see again, and I am entirely grateful for that. Obviously some shows are lower priority but I love seeing shows multiple times if possible!

Good Lord, Phantom4Ever, you've got me WAY beaten. I'm at about 14 (I have to recount), counting three times on the new touring production (which is a must-see once; Katie Travis is one of the best Christines I've seen and the new concept is fabulous in spots although VERY disappointing in MANY others). I saw previous tours at the Kennedy Center and in Baltimore, I've seen Las Vegas twice, and Broadway several times. I am going to be in London for the first time in my life in July. We're going specifically because I worry that POTO will close after its 30th anniversary in October and I want to see the show in London.

I've seen Les Miz 3 times -- once at Wolf Trap (disappointing), once with Ramin Karimloo on Broadway, and once in a regional production.  BTW, I'm thinking of seeing Les Miz in London because it's the turntable version and I've never seen it, but, frankly, the middle of the show bores the hell out of me.

I've seen Yeston & Kopit's "Phantom," once in the round in Phoenix, and once at a historical theater in San Bernardino -- both worth seeing. It's a lovely show, and the Phantom is more sympathetic than the one in the ALW version.

I'm about to see BOM for the second time. The first time was on Broadway, last year, when I was there alone. We're seeing it in Costa Mesa because I knew my husband would love it.

I've lost count for "Fiddler on the Roof." That's one of those shows that Jewish people just wind up seeing over and over, because you go with different relatives, synagogue groups, etc.

"My Fair Lady" was, I think, three times. It would have been four, but they cancelled the performance I attended in Washington after "Loverly" because Eliza came down with the flu (again) and the understudy was still out.

I wanted to see "If/Then" a second time, either in New York or Los Angeles, but I couldn't bring myself to see the sad ending in the one timeline a second time. I always cry at Les Miz, but this really hit me in the heart, probably because I identified so closely with Liz and Beth. As much as I fell in love with the show during a Washington preview, I decided to pass.

I plan to see "Something Rotten" again when it tours -- what a goofy show, but what a lot of fun!

So, Phantom4Ever, what is your dream POTO cast, put together from those 60 performances?

Audrey, the Phantom Phanatic, who nonetheless would rather be Jean Valjean, who knew how to make lemonade out of lemons.

It's more rare for me to go back to see a show multiple times. I would have to love a show very much in order to go back again. There are also times I say I'd gladly go back but then I never do because I'd prefer to see something else.

The record for me is the 1998 revival of Cabaret, which I saw 3 times.

2 times:

Ragtime (OBC)

Wicked (the 2nd time was with a school group so I was kind of forced into that one)

The Producers (same as Wicked...the first time was great but the 2nd time was painfully bad)

Gentleman's Guide (once with OBC, the other with the lead replacements)

Side Show revival (my then partner was obsessed)

Something Rotten (same as above)

What makes you think they would close Phantom after the 30th anniversary ?

I don't see shows multiples times very often. I'd rather spend my money on something I haven't seen before, especially since there are tons of shows I've never seen. I rarely reread books for the same reason: there are just too many books out there to get through in my lifetime.

That said, I saw Rent four times, mainly because my ex-husband was obsessed with it. I've seen Les Miserables twice and will be seeing it a third time in a few weeks (I'm going to London, and it seemed silly not to see the original production while I'm there, since it may be my last chance). And there are a few shows I saw twice. That's about it.
