Selling Hamilton Tickets UPDATE

I have Hamilton Tickets for sale..is it best to sell on Stub Hub, Craigslist? Two people from party can't make it. Memorial Day weekend.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ADVICE AND KIND WORDS. I SOMETIMES HESITATE USING THIS BOARD BECAUSE SOMETIMES I AM MADE TO FEEL LIKE I ASKED A STUPID QUESTION BUT YOUR RESPONSES WERE KIND. I ENJOY BROADWAY SHOWS IMMENSELY BUT AM THE FIRST TO ADMIT THAT I DO NOT KNOW ALL THE NUANCES OF BROADWAY. ANYWAY, GETTING BACK TO THE HAMILTON TICKETS - MY HUSBAND GAVE THEM TO HIS ADMIN AT WORK. SHE WAS THRILLED! (AND WE DIDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH RESELLING THEM).

NOW I AM IN THE PROCESS OF PURCHASING 6 BEAUTIFUL TICKETS OVER MEMORIAL DAY AND I SINCERELY HOPE MS. KENNEDY IS ON. SHE WAS LOVELY!

I See that several people have PM you already. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE meet someone at the theater prior to the show and sell them the ticket there at face value and make sure they are not a scalper, but someone who desperately wants to see the show. At most, divide the cost of your ticket between the 2 you are selling! Don't sell to a scalper or sell for an outrageous 300% mark up.

Even better yet get to the theater an hour early and sell to someone in the cancelation line - they have been there over night waiting at the chance to get a regular price ticket because they can't do a grand for a ticket!

Sell on SH, price about $50-100 less than comparable tickets. If you don't have constant access to a laptop, it's best to upload when you create your listing so you don't have to worry about missing the window to upload after selling.

I wish most of us (myself included) could do what he said but for the majority of people (myself included) getting an unexpected and non manipulative chance to get a chunk of change can take a lot of pressure off them. I'm not for intentionally buying tickets to make money but getting a lucky break is different. If you're lucky enough that 2k can't help alleviate some stress then by all means be altruistic. That's a great thing. She just shouldn't feel like she has an obligation to do anything other than what is best for her and her family.

I highly recommend selling with the Ticketmaster resale feature. You enter the amount you want to receive for your ticket and they tack their fees on top of that. And in my experience with other events I couldn't make it to, I've always been paid by the week after I've sold tickets on there.

I'd also like to echo what others have mentioned in regards to how you should price the tickets. Don't feel guilty for selling them for a huge markup. That's what the market has deemed they're worth. You didn't set out intending to scalp them when you bought them, and you shouldn't feel bad about taking full advantage of whatever amount buyers are willing to pay. Extra cash is never a bad thing; I'm sure you have bills to pay like the rest of us on here.
