Hello all, I seek your wisdom!

A while ago I visited Broadway and saw Next to Normal, and was lucky enough to have my playbill signed by all except Alice Ripley, who didn't come out of the stage door. I'm not usually a stage-door person, but the trip and the show were so special to me I was really happy to meet some of the cast.

I'd love to ask Alice if she'd sign the playbill to finish off the collection but I need suggestions as to how to get this.

I can't send a stamped return envelope as I don't have any American postage, and I'm not sure if I send an international reply coupon that Alice would have the time to take it to the post office to mail back etc.

Can anyone suggest any way of doing this? I'm totally stuck!

Thanks

Might it be easier to buy a signed one from ebay/see if someone from here can get a playbill signed and post it to you? Would probably work out a similar price to posting it to American then getting it posted back.

If anyone in the US is seeing the show, or could even just send my copy on to the theatre with a stamped envelope on my behalf, that would be amazing :)

If Alice is a consistent signer (I don't know, anyone?) then I would say go ahead and send the reply coupon. She probably has an assistant who does her mailing.
If not, can you get someone to send you some US stamps. You can buy postage online but I don't know if you can do it from the UK, again someone in the US could buy you a postage label and e-mail it to you.

But if it turns out that she does reply to her post I would say go with the first option and include a nice letter or you could be sneaky and send it to someone else in the cast and ask them to get her to sign it. That worked for me once with Patti LuPone.
