Sending in Video Submissions for Broadway Shows

Hi there. I am a young adult, with plenty of training and theatre experience, and I really want to start auditioning for Broadway shows and get more serious with my career. My mom is supportive of me doing this, however she is not willing to pay all that money to fly me to and from New York just for an audition. She did say, however, that if I sent in a video audition and got a callback, then she would help get me to NYC for the callback. I know a lot of shows take video auditions for child replacements (like for Young Simba and Nala, or Young Anna and Elsa), but I wanna know if there are any shows that will take ADULT video auditions, lead or chorus (so far, I haven't been able to find any on Backstage or BWW). Or if there's any way I can contact the producers to ask if I can send in a video audition. (I specifically really wanna audition for the national tour of Frozen SUPER bad... two weeks ago, I emailed the Disney On Broadway email that was on the website asking about auditions and if they'll be accepting video submissions, but I haven't heard back yet...)

RippedMan said: "Here to help. Don't target the producers. Target the casting directors. Producers don't care. They want to see you after the casting directors have picked you. So focus on that. I mean, sending a video out of nowhere might not get you super noticed, but why not? Rent a studio/room, get a piano player, and record some songs that show you off. Upload it to YouTube and send it out to casting directors. Check Playbill and Backstage for job postings. And send some emails out."

Yeah anything happening now - Frozen, Mean Girls - they won't start casting until at least the spring for their upcoming tours. And even then, those will probably be all agent submissions, etc. I'd start with some of the smaller tours and non-union tours.
