Does anyone know where I can buy the script to "she loves me?" There are vocal selections online, but I'm obviously looking for the dialogue as well as the lyrics. Thanks :)

Many musical scripts are not available for sale as that prohibits non-licensed versions of them.  Doesn't look like one is available.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The script was indeed published, once in 1964 and again after the revival (using the revival artwork and production photos) in 1995.  I purchased a used copy on Amazon 6-or-so years ago.  You might be able to check there or other out-of-print online booksellers.  Best of luck!  It's one of my favorite shows.

Back in the '60s I swear nearly very musical had its script published.

Even today almost all the major musicals have theirs published.

I've heard that you can sometimes purchase a single performance script from the licensing company, though that may only be Samuel French.

Go see the show, and write down the whole script as you are seeing it

This was the script of the musical, right? Because I was looking on Amazon the other day for the original book/play/musical Parfumerie or The Shop Around the Corner and I couldn't find either one. I was just curious to see what the original was like after having seen it adapted to a musical.

Yes that was the script to the musical.  Here is a link to purchase a script of an 'adaptation' of the original play: https://www.playscripts.com/play/1640

I have the Hungarian script of Illatszertár around here somewhere, its a darling play.  It still is quite popular.  The price has gone up quite a bit it seems for the script to the musical.  Here is a link to a few for sale on Amazon:

Best of luck on your search!

pinkgrapefruits, The Shop Around The Corner is the title of the film based on Parfumerie that SHE LOVES ME takes great influence from. Some lines and dialogue are almost lifted directly from the film.

I would greatly recommend it, it's one of my all-time favourites and just a perfect movie. Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullavan kill it.

She Loves Me (hardcover libretto) on Amazon priced between $31.99 used and $125.00 for a "collectors edition".

If you're interested in listening to the complete show while you're waiting for your very expensive book to be delivered, you might like these videos on Youtube of the 2011 Roundabout Benefit Concert:

One other option you might try is your local library. Although I grew up in a very small town, my hometown library still has a very extensive selection of hardcover librettos dating back to the days Mr. Nowack refers to.

I also remember those days, and I even subscribed to a mail-order "book club" where you were automatically sent one hardcover libretto a month that you could choose to purchase, or send back (wish I could remember the name of that club...).

At any rate, if your local library doesn't have She Loves Me on site, you might ask them to try to find it through their inter library loan program.

EDIT: Found this site selling a used copy for $3.02

Call Samuel French and ask to purchase a single copy of the libretto. You'll be surprised about how helpful they can be.

Another great, untapped resource for reading librettos of musicals are public libraries, or even more, college/university libraries if you are affiliated to one. I read countless of librettos for so many musicals when I was in college.

SHE LOVES ME has such a lovely libretto. It plays like gangbusters in the current revival.
