Today I was walking down 8th street after leaving starbucks between University and 5th Ave, and Sherie Rene Scott was walking arm in arm with her husband, down 8th singing her heart out. What she was singing I couldn't make out...but it was her I swear. It caught me off guard like crazy. I stopped in the middle of the street and was like..."Oh my gosh, that was Sherie Rene Scott singing while walking down the street." All of my friends thought I was crazy, but I swear it was her!

LOL. I love hearing stories like this. I go to the city almost every weekend and not once have I ran into a Bway star.

Living in the Village I have a bway actor encounter almost weekly sometimes multiple times a week!

At the same starbucks, Chris Noth from Sex and the City, and Peter Gallagher, and Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker can be seen at any given time of the day! Starbucks on 8th between University and 5th ave. Great spot for celeb sightings!

that's so awesome. i can't believe she was just singing freely!

i've seen jordan gelber, leah hocking, greg jbara (whom i stopped and talked to for a while, he was so incredibly nice), john tartaglia and michael shawn lewis toghether! ahh! and mandy gonzalez who recognized me and hugged me. wow that was a good time.

omg.. is it just me that thinks sherie rene scott is tired? i saw her in RENT as Maureen and thought she was vocally awful. dont like her at all on the cast recording of AIDA either. so many other girls with her range that are much fiercer and dont get props or the parts. KRISTEN LEE KELLY for one among MANY!

Ozone, I also despised Sherie Scott in "Rent". I thought she was miscast and her interpretation of Maureen was horrible.

However, I have come around with her. I love her in "The Last 5 Years", her songs in "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" are great (I'll see for myself tomorrow) and "Debbie Does Dallas" was a lot of fun. She was great in the Feeling Electric workshop as well.

I don't think she's tired as much as successful.
