I was able to speak with Sherie yesterday at the flea market, and while we were talking I asked her how long she'd be in DRS. She told me that she's leaving January 31st, and then doing a play. I assume the play she was talking about is Landscape of the Body down in Virginia.
Just thought I'd share, I know people were asking...
Some guy: You looked great!
Idina: Thanks...I WAS SO HIGH! 8/21/05

Posted: 9/27/05 at 11:29amIf she weren't doing Lestat, I would love to see Carolee as Muriel...

Posted: 9/27/05 at 11:31amShe'd be great, but I think it's time for Carolee to hold her ground and push for leading roles. I wonder how big her role in Lestat will be...

Well isn't the mother pretty minor in the books? I'm sure she's sing a big ballad and then do a reprise in the second act.

Posted: 9/27/05 at 11:57amPlay's are not a waste. It often gives actors a chance to work those meaty chops they have. For example, Raul Esparza in The Normal Heart. No singing, but greatest performance I have ever seen. Definately not a waste.

Posted: 9/27/05 at 1:48pmI will be in NYC in December and will have time to take in one show. I was thinking of seeing DRS and now even more so since the OBC will be leaving soon. I don't really know much about this show at all. Should I consider this show or something else?

Is Lithgow's date firm?
I hope not; I may be out there at the end of January and would love to see him again!

JuliaJuliaJuliaaaaaaaa.
I'd go see the show every day!
I think Amy Spanger's voice is more similar to Sherie's than Julia's is, but... JULIA!

I'm not kidding.
She's like totally the best singer ever and the most fantasmagorical actress in the history of everything.
I totally cried and screamed when I didnt' win the Wicked Lottery. I like tried 263 times and never won. And I thought "OooohmyGod! Idina must be like taking a bubblebath now and thinking about her green makeup and she has no idea i'm like down here wishing I could see her defy gravity tonight."
I think Idina could play John's part too. They should rename the show "The Idina Menzel Wicked Show."
