One of them is based on a lesser known German novel and the other is based on a recently released film.  They will both have tryouts at non profits, one a historic theater in San Diego and the other at a New York theater that rarely produces musicals.  He expects them to be on Broadway in 2027 and 2028.  He also mentioned that The Great Gatsby will probably recoup this Winter.

I'm really surprised Gatsby is on track to recoup, but good for them. I can't imagine what German novel he's referring to.
