It’s a cute play I guess, but nothing extraordinary. Very simple, and somewhat tedious, but overall enjoyable. I’ve seen countless plays there that have a lot of potential, end strong, but doesn’t quite hit the mark. A Woman among Women was the same thing.

At this point, I’m assuming they’re just waiting for previews to start for word of mouth to spread, and then see how sales are doing. If they’re running in the winter, I’m sure there will be a discount code then.

Is it going on tour? I wonder if they are doing a small tour with sit downs in certain cities like Liberation is doing. A month here, six weeks there. Pretty much in the big markets, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Boston. Could see it doing a return engagement to NYC even.

Given how short the run for The Heart is, I have to assume they are doing a quick test run before a quick Broadway transfer to the Sondheim or Studio 54. It’s rumored Benjamin Button is transferring to the Hudson

Even Paddington had some critics pointing things out they didn’t like about it, but it got through because it’s a beloved character over there. I agree, I don’t think it’s as well received here. Evita also had its detractors in London, and for sure won’t be well received here. I think Rachel will have a positive reception and be a contender for the award.

There are plenty of producers trying to bring in their shows to Broadway. These theaters running shows with half empty houses is just a bad look for Broadway, and ends up hurting the viable shows that people could be seeing instead if these stinkers weren’t up on tkts diluting the field.

The play takes place in New Hampshire, are you sure it wasn’t a New England accent? New Jersey, New York, and New England can sometimes blend together, at least for me who just has a standard American accent, they sound similar.
Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 9/27/26
Two strangers, six, stranger things, and &Juliet should have just closed on Labor Day weekend. Everyone who wanted to see them saw them. Now they’re just taking up space. I’m impressed with how consistent Operation Mincemeat has been doing. Not really sure what wicked could do to get their numbers up when the reason they’re struggling is that they’re overexposed. Lion King continues to roar. Good for them.
