Many of Broadway's "character men" are under 5'8". Nathan Lane is 5'7" at the most. Chip Zien is 5'6". Eddie Korbich is 5'5". Joel Blum is 5'7".

Brent Barrett is short for a conventional "Leading Man" - he's 5'9" at the most.

hmmm... well no hope for playin a true lead I guess, but at least there are short guys out there.

To clear things up, the role of Boq is a Munchkin, but that is determined by geography, rather than height. Elphaba and Nessarose are both Munchkins, as well.

But the actor would have to find a way around the "height" gags.

I have never met any man to has admitted to being shorter than 5' 8".

Jack Noseworthy is probably 5'6...although his bio probably lists 5'10

Luvtheemcee, when I met Raul, I could have sworn he was a good 2 inches taller than me, and I'm 5'7". I'm not saying you're wrong (god knows I'm terrible with things like that), just wondering if that was an estimate or if it was listed somewhere? :)
I hold a degree in Musical Theatre from Montclair State University. It is useless. Now I'm funny for money. Oh, and I sing.
