Did she ever go on as Velma? That's so weird to think about...how old was she when she was in Hairspray?

Shoshana was a wonderful Tracy, and it was extremely well sung.

Parks, she went on as Velma more than once. In her Chatterbox interview, she says that the first time Linda was out, they put her on, and that every subsequent time Harvey always gave her crap because he felt she was too young (he loved her as Tracy though.) She also went on at least once as Prudy.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
