Should Candide be revived?

It's not rude- it's a truth. Chenoweth has undeniably had botox. You can see it on her face. She is fortunate enough to read much younger than her 42 years, but it's getting to the point where she can no longer credibly do it anymore. Fortunately, there seems to be interest in an On the Twentieth Century revival starring her, which is a much better and appropriate vehicle for her (though she is still arguably too old- but it's better than her trying to be in her early 20s like in Promises, Promises).
A revival of Candide featuring Chenoweth is probably never going to happen- unless it's in thirty years and she's the Old Lady. Her work as Cunegonde is already recorded in that wonderful concert, why are you so adamantly pushing for a stage revival?
In regards to that concert, Eric- yes, Lonny Price added in several contemporary references (I don't recall anything overtly political, but there were references to The Apprentice, fashion houses, sports teams, and more). I thought it was a really brilliant way to capture the spirit of Voltaire while updating it. Voltaire's text specifically alluded to political events in his time, which no longer read as such simply because they're no longer common knowledge and his work outlived them.

Yes, Kristin admits she gets botox because of her disease that gives her migraines ( not sure if i believe it). That is what she said in her biography. Also, Kad I didn't say anything to you because you said it nicely. You simply said she is too old.

It would only sell with someone like Cheno or Audra in it. Or Josh Groban as Candide lol
