Will be in NYC next week and will be seeing "Spring Awakening," "Curtains," "Company," and "Grey Gardens." Instead of seeing another show my final night in town (Thursday, April 5th), I was thinking of catching Buckley's show at Feinstein's. Would love to hear from people who have seen her at this venue before.
Most definitely. Never question if you should see Betty Buckley perform. Anywhere. She is sheer brilliance to see 'live'.
YES.
Buckley LIVE is amazing.
Go.
I agree. Corny sounding but true: The power of her voice doesn't really translate 100% on the discs, you gotta feel it live.
Definitely yes.
I had a chance to see her perform two songs - "With One Look" and "Memory" in the Broadway For Medicine concert two weeks ago at City Center.
She was absolutely wonderful. "Memory" is a song I'd gotten to dislike over the years since it's been done-to-death and often turned into a bad cliche. She took the song back that night.
I'd jump at a chance to see her in concert.
Feinstein's or a public restroom in Port Authority, GO!
Thanks to everyone for your responses. Guess I've got my Thursday night in NYC planned!

Too bad they don't have Standing Room at Feinstein's.
$100+ ouch!
I hope she does this concert on her next gig at the Allen Room. Their $40 ticket I can afford.

Unless you really like to kick yourself, I say go.
Have fun. She's amazing...energy...presence...awesome.
Love,
Wax Lion
Don't miss Ms. Buckley!!! You don't get the bowl you over cannon of energy you get from a Liza Minnelli.. but you get something deeper, more intense and uniquely Buckley.
Have a great time.

Yes...see her!
oh and can I just say "Wax Lion is back?"...YAY
Absolutely. She's a genuinely nice person and an outstanding performer. I had a lovely chat with her after seeing her as Norma Desmond, and she's gracious and lovely.
Don't miss her!
Too bad you can't see Barbara Cook while you're in NYC, but I suspect she's not performing. She's another great person and magnificent performer.
I've seen her at Feinstein's
before. Nice venue. But she is
not to be missed. Concert hall
or caberet, she's one of the best!
I'll be there next week.
