Yeah, I just mean that it was first released and shown back when TABOO had just closed, and when WICKED was relatively new.

I believe it was part of the Tribeca Film festival 2 years ago.

No worries, Munk.

Is it good? This is the first I've heard of it.

I've been waiting to see this for years now (ok, 2. since I heard about it). Hopefully I will get to see it sometime this summer.

"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife

It hasn't been released yet. I saw a preview of it here in LA a few months ago, it was quite interesting. It follows Taboo, Wicked, Caroline or Change and Avenue Q--some interesting behind the scenes things. Also, hearing the New York critics talk over dinner is very enlightening. Laurie Winer is every bit as pretentious as you think she is.

I missed it, too. Emcee saw it, and if I remember correctly, she adored it.

A movie in a film festival does not neccessarily have distribution--it's not "released".

Q:What advice do you have for aspiring Broadway stars who are terminally shy? I love your work, because you seem so bold. How do you do it? A:"I think I take more chances on stage then I do in real life but you can't learn anything if you don't challenge yourself. And don't say "terminally". If you love to perform then you have no choice, just keep training and focus on the words or the music whenever you find yourself slipping back inside yourself. You're not doing anyone any favors if you withhold your talents from the world"- Idina Menzel

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

There's another "trailer" at imdb, but it's more just a scene clip regarding the critics. The myspace one is better.

"I thought that that was just going to be a like one shot deal for me, you know, but they kept talking about it like, 'when we do the production, when we do the production', and I was like, 'yes, yes, when you do the production, cool, I will come and see it'". - John Gallagher Jr. on SA

I saw it 3 years ago at Tribeca back when it was relevant. I don't know what took them so long to release it.
