Sorry about tacking on to this thread, but I didn't want to start a new discussion for such a similar question. I'm coming to New York in late August and I'm trying to decide between 40-50 dollar seats in the 400s for Fun Home and rushing The Color Purple. I know these are both supposed to be great shows, but does anyone have a preference for one or the other? Thanks for any help!

My choice, by a very small margin, is Fun Home.  There's not a bad seat in that theater. Also, you'll never have another chance to see it in this venue, and with this incredible cast. You really can't go wrong with either choice, but one day you'll regret missing Fun Home (in my opinion).

I agree. You can't go wrong with either but Fun Home would be my choice.

Awesome, makes sense. I think I'll go for Fun Home. I was a little surprised to hear so much of the original cast is still in it, so I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for the help.
