Do any of you know which of the various tourist/Broadway stores have the lowest prices on the show posters? I know I've paid as little as $10, but admittedly that was several years ago. The store under the Marquis sells them for $20, but I'm pretty sure they can be found for less. In fact, the store clerk said as much. Any tips on where would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
That's good advice, and I will. But there are a couple I'd like to pick up this weekend and am just wondering what my best bet would be for retail. Thanks. :)
The Broadway New York shops (Marquis and Theatre Circle) sell them for the MOST. You can get the cheapest ones at the shows themselves ($10-$15,) but Triton Gallery on 45th between 8 and 9 sells almost any poster from anything EVER - they're older posters can be quite expensive, but they also have everything current, and they're usually $10-$15. All their prices are online - www.tritongallery.com

I have a related question. Could you please recommend any stores that sell frames or the plexiglass frames that fit these posters? (I'm not really looking for a framing store, per se)Thanks a lot.

The best place to go is Triton gallery. I collect them and have well, alot. Go to triton gallery. The frames are 20 or 25 for the simple do it yourself size.
On that note, if anyone has old windowcards sitting around that need a new home, email me: darkempathy@yahoo.com. I'll take them from you if you want to find them a new home.
Triton is a poster-lover paradise! On-line, there is also Broadwaynewyork.com. They don't seem to be keeping up their inventory like they used to but they have lots of old posters for $12.95. Here are some sample prices on some current and recent shows:
Dracula - 15.00
The Frogs - 22.50
Avenue Q - 15.00
Assassins - 22.50
Brooklyn - 15.00
Hairspray - 15.00
