I remember there used to be a Tide commercial that used "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better" (I think that's the name...)
ALso, nonmusical kinda, but the Clariton allergy pills used to use the overture to The Who's Tommy.

Also, "Anything You Can..." was used in a series of Gatorade spots with Michael Jordan and Mia Hamm a while back as well.

How about:
The stuffing commercial from the late 80's or early 90's:
SOMETHING DELICIOUS, SOMETHING NUTRITIOUS
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE - IT'S STOVETOP TONIGHT!
or the beer commercial in the 60's:
THERE IS A BROTHERHOOD... OF HAMMS
or the public service ad from the 70's promoting seat belt use:
BUCKLE UP FOR SAFETY, BUCKLE UP
based on "Buckle Down Winsocki" from GOOD NEWS

For a long time the Windex jingle was "Put On A Windex Shine" to Bye Bye Birdee's "Put On A Happy Face."
I am hearing a lot of Rodger and Hammerstein's music in commercials, just not remembering what product they are endorsing. I always think: "More royalties to The R&H Foundation."

ebay used songs such as:
On Broadway by George Benson (not exactly a showtune)
That's on ebay- a cliche on "that's amore"
and "do you know the way to use ebay" and I'm not sure what it's a parody on, but it's a B'way song too

I believe that the "Do you know the way to use eBay?" was a take on "Do You Know The Way to Santa Fe?" (an actual song, not just the bit at the end of "Santa Fe" in Rent)

"I Feel Pretty" was used in the Aquafina commercial.
"You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don't make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and do them so well that people can't take their eyes off you."

I Feel Pretty was used in an Aquafina commercial. In the other commercial there's like all these guys singing "Drink, drink!" and that's from some show too. I can't remember which one tho.
What is it about Lucy?? I know she's a bitch, and yet I want to be her...

West Side Story's "Somewhere" is being used in ads for some financial services company. Or is it an insurance company? I don't get those ads at all.
