I would love to see Toni Collette on Broadway again. Given that she has been there once (and got a Tony nom. for The Wild Party) and has certainly got the singing and dancing chops what show could she do? I could see her in the revival of Mame. Years ago she played Petra in A Little Night Music in Sydney, could she play the Countess in the forth coming Broadway revival?
Any suggestions?

I'd see her in anything.....I LOVE her. I've enjoyed her in everything she's done......even if I don't enjoy the movie so much. She definitely needs to do another B'way show.
She's amazing in Japanese Story too, but I read somewhere she's retired from acting to devote herself full time to a singing career. Not a Broadway singing career, either.

Connnie and Carla was fabuloso! I have noticed that in all of her films there are not two films in which she looks alike in them. Muriel's Wedding, About a Boy etc. She never looks the same.
If you ever have a chance, rent the movie Cosi'...this was the first movie that I realized that Toni CAN Sing. I was a fan since Muriel's Wedding, but hearing her sing in Cosi' made me respect her even more. Loved seeing her on Broadway in "The Wild Party" where she proved herself as a Star once again. What a sin if she gives up on her acting career. So rare to find an actress who can do both so brillianly.
She's def doing the singing thing...it was on IMDB recently and she was talking about it. She said its something shes been holding back for a while and nows the time and shes been writing for a while and she's ready to record, not for success exactly but just for herself to get it out there.
I believe she has already recorded the album. It is to be released in Australia prior to Christmas. I heard her talking about this recently on a talk show. She has recently married. Was Muriel's Wedding big in the U.S.?
Cosi, is an interesting film. I saw it (Cosi) as a stage play originally about ten years ago. It made a better film though!

I never realized that she played Haley Joel Osment's mother in The Sixth Sense. I was watching it the other day and saw her name in the credits.
Yep, she received an academy award nomination (her first of many I'm sure) for that film. The scene with her and Haley in the car brings me to tears each time.
I loved her in Emma...
I wonder if she was ever up for the role in Sweet Charity?
I rarely wait outside the stage door after a show, but I love Toni Collette so much, I had to meet her after The Wild PArty. And I was so glad that she was so nice and funny and charming and sweet. Just made me love her more.

She should do something. And soon!
Sweet Charity would be a good show for her.
So many many shows!
I always cry during that final scene in the car w/her and Haley Joel in 6th Sense.
