I'll be returning to NYC in two weeks and was wondering what the word of mouth was. I want to fit in 4-5 shows (both plays and musicals).
I plan to definitely see:
Curious Incident
Side Show
Maybe:
Beautiful (If I see it, I thought I might as well go before Jessie leaves)
The musicals on Broadway that I haven't seem are The Last Ship, On the Town, Rock of Ages, If/Then, Aladdin and I haven't seen any of the plays currently on Broadway.
Most of my favorite NYC shows have been Off-Broadway (Here Lies Love, Then She Fell, Sleep No More, The Mysteries, etc.).
Is there anything Off-Broadway that I should look into? Maybe Tamburlaine? Sense & Sensibility and Queen of the Night are sold out the nights I'm there...
Thanks!

Aladdin and On the Town are pretty loved. I haven't seen them yet but I've heard 99% positive reviews for them both. Beautiful also.
Off Broadway, A lot of people are excited (possibly because of the film) for Into the Woods at the Pels, myself included. The Oldest Boy is also getting some good reviews.

ON THE TOWN is brilliant and funny and moving, and probably the only musical I'd recommend 100% on Broadway right now. SIDE SHOW is also quite wonderful, and I hope you enjoy it. I had a really good time. It was provoking and entertaining.
