I'll be returning to NYC in two weeks and was wondering what the word of mouth was. I want to fit in 4-5 shows (both plays and musicals). I saw the show the 21st of december and I left the show dumbfounded... this show is INTENSE!!!!!!! After the Act 2 finale you're just astounded at this horrific story that is so well done. I love the fact that this musical is theatre and not a "show", if you get what I mean. The lead actors were all great, some members of the ensemble I found weak (but that's just my opinion) and I found it boring that the ensemble especially the female don't get to do much... but that's the way it's written....
