What are some? I thought of:
Sunset Boulevard
Ragtime
Mamma Mia
9 To 5
Curtains
The Drowsy Chaperone
Fosse
Into The Woods (2002)
Ragtime started in Toronto and ran several months there before coming to LA.
This season, besides 9 to 5, there are Vanities and Minsky's.

Geez, I remember seeing: 1491, THE BAKERS WIFE, GONE WITH THE WIND, LOVELY LADIES KIND GENTELMAN, GIGI, SUGAR, THE ODYSSEY, SHINE IT ON (THE ACT), EVITA, UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG, LITTLE JOHNNY JONES, A DOLL'S LIFE, CHAPLIN, MACK AND MABEL, SWEET CHARITY
All PRE-BROADWAY bound musicals (still have the programs too).
In the 1939 and 1940 productions of the LA Civic, one of the chorus/dancers was Gwendolin Verdon.
I believe At The Grand did LA & maybe Zenda as well.
THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG.
Didn't Caroline, Or Change have its out of town try-out at the Ahmanson?

MAMA MIA
Pasadena Playhouse sometimes presents world-premieres of pre-Broadway shows, can't think of any off hand. Maybe Sister Act will qualify if it ever gets going.
I would have loved to have seen the delightful Pasadena Playhouse production of Do I Hear a Waltz? head to Broadway.
I saw/survived The Baker's Wife (which never made it to Broadway) and The Odyssey (which had one Broadway performance as Homer Sweet Homer) at LA CLO. My grandmother survived The Act.
I saw Umbrellas in SF (1980), as part of the joint LA and SF CLO arrangements, but I don't think it ever went to NY, although it was terrific.

Don't forgot the last revival of Flower Drum Song. I was in tears at the end.
