Ghost and the Lyons

That performance Ghost did on the Tony's, im sorry to say, did NOT help their case. I hate to say that, especially since I adore Da'vine and Caissie Levy, and had such high hopes for the show.

I agree on Ghost. Even, as someone who has been listening to the cast recording, and enjoying it to a degree...that performance was forced and sounded like they were screaming for the most part.
I don't know what Ghost's weekly running costs are (I'd guess pretty high), but when I went Thursday, the orchestra looked mostly, if not almost entirely full. I couldn't see the mezzanine.
I have a feeling this is a show that is unaffected by Tony nominations/losses. Frankly, it doesn't cater to an audience that cares about those kinds of things. It's a spectacle, not a musical.

Keb2- that's my experience with Lysistrata Jones. I'm pretty sure 50% were heavily discounted tickets, and the rest was a mix of rush and comps. The house was full, though.
Ghost's performance was a cacophony of noise. Sure won't sell any tickets.
The sound didn't bother me, but the three of them walking around in circles like they were playing musical chairs with the spotlights looked ridiculous.
