the Equus storyline did king of make me go 'hmmmm'. I once saw a production of it with no nudity. It didn't work as well.

ya it totally makes the characters more vulnerable, i was totally engaged in the story, the actors were amazing! when i saw it Alan was only 18, he was phenomenal!

Lea (who was a replacement) did this whole monologue about giving birth. She's just in a spot light. And all I can think through the entire thing was, "Boy, those have to hurt."

In the Bway Wild Party, Toni Collette whipped her top off at one point. I wasn't quite sure the point of it, but there they were.

You took your CRANDMOTHER to see ROCKY HORROR??? Are you mad man??!!


Side note :: originally, they wanted Rocky to make his initial entrance totally nude and then put the g-string on him but they couldn't find a convenient way to get the g-string on before the song was finished. they figured that having him naked fir the entire number would, um, 'distract' some audience members. Also, matthew Morrison was originally cast 'Rocky', but at the time he was a member of a boyband called LMNT and couldn't do it, so they gave the role to sebastian LaCause. matt did however join the show when it reopened after September 11th, first in the Phantom role originated by Jonathan Sharp (Jon played Rocky for teh first month of the return) and then he went immediately into anoter Phantom role, replacing Daniel Levine in the track originated by Mark Price.

Tammy Blanchard has to wear a flesh colored bra...what if the light cue is wrong?!?! Instead they put big white spots on her, head on. Haha.

well, wht if the light cue was wrong during The Full Monty??? Oh wait! That happened a few times! Here and In London. The Queen of England got ane yeful of Emick's Emick when the light cue was off teh night she was there. They didn't wear any flesh colored thongs and teh audience never really 'saw' anything when the cue was right on. In fact, watch the Tonys performance. You can see Patrick swingin'... on CBS!

I took my grandma to RHS because she loves the movie. She's into everything Broadway and is the one who took me to my first Broadway show way back.
