Posted: 2/8/09 at 2:09pmI'd love to see re-worked revivals of Carrie and It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman! While Carrie is definitely the weaker of the two, with a new, focussed book and several lyric changes and maybe some song cuts, it could be great. It'd definitely get a lot of attention and bring in crowds.

Posted: 2/9/09 at 2:58amI would love to see a revival of ILLYA, DARLING, which is the musical version of the Greek film, “Never On Sunday”. Nia Vardalos would be wonderful in the role created by the legendary Melina Mercouri both in the film and on stage and this would be a great vehicle to introduce Broadway audiences to the fantastic Greek American singer James Anest as her co-star. The return of ILLYA, DARLING on Broadway, with its unique bouzouki sound, would be a cause for rejoicing.

This may sound silly, but I think there should ALWAYS be shows by Rodgers and Hammerstein(or Hart), Sondheim, Bernstein, Bock and Harnick, Gershwin, Gilbert and Sullivan, Herman, and Noel Coward running on Broadway. I also think there should be some kind of rock show or rock opera. Let's see...right now, we already have a few of those fulfilled, but am I the only one who'd love to see Mikado or Pirates of Penzance NOT done by an Operetta company.
