Showstoppers (11 o'clock numbers) from Each Show

I want to compile a CD of showstoppers from the following shows...what would you consider the showstopper of these shows:

Beauty and the Beast
Hairspray (Timeless to Me...thought I heard so once)
Urinetown (I was thinking RUN FREEDOM RUN, but wasn't sure)
Producers (Prisoners of Love?)
Chicago (revival) (Mr. Cellophane??? or Razzle Dazzle???)
Cabaret (revival) (Cabaret???)
Aida
Gypsy (Rose's Turn???)
Les Mis
Little Shop of Horrors (Suddenly Seymour???)
Wonderful Town
Fiddler on the Roof
Boy From Oz
Avenue Q

Gypsy- "Rose's Turn"
Boy From Oz- "Once Before I Go"
The Producers- "Betrayed"

But by showstopper, you mean a big solo number, right? Because otherwise everything changes. But with those rules I guess I would also say:

Avenue Q- "There's a Fine, Fine Line"
Fiddler on the Roof- "Far From the Home I Love" or maybe "If I Were a Rich Man"

Those last two shows don't exactly have a big fat showstopping, soul-baring number, though. If you're looking for those, you might want to try "Lot's Wife," from Caroline, or Change, "Soliloquoy" from Carousel, and "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" from Dreamgirls.

I might even say "I KNOW WHERE I'VE BEEN" from HAIRSPRAY. The response to that song from the audience is greater (in my experience) than any other number.

The Producers - "Springtime For Hitler"

Little Shop - "Feed Me", "Suddenly Seymour"'s okay, but "Feed Me" is more powerful

Wonderful Town - "Conga" (I LOVE that song)

Avenue Q - "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist", "Schadenfreude"

Hairspray - "Welcome to the 60s"

Les Mis - stars, I will say "One day more", but it's the end of act 1, so there is a natural stop for the show
Little Shop of Horrors - Suddenly Seymour
Avenue Q - There's a fine fine line

I have to disagree with some of these -- many good song's listed, by downtown is not an 11:00 number -- that's (as I understand) the big, typically solo, number late in the show's second act, hence the name 11:00 o'clock -- that tends to "stop the show"

Gypsy -- Roses Turn
Hairspay -- I know where I've been
Ragtime -- Back to Before and/or Make Them hear you
Producers -- Betrayed
Millie -- Gimme Gimme

Actually she mentioned both, showstoppers and 11 o'clock numbers, which sometimes are the same numbers, but not always. If you want the showstoppers, as in the big audience-response numbers from the shows...

"Betrayed" is the official 11 o'clock number from The Producers (straight from Mel's mouth and very true when I've seen the show). But if you're talking about showstoppers then it would be Betrayed or Springtime for Hitler.

Showstoppers (not necessarily 'official' 11o'clock numbers) in my opinion:

Beauty and the Beast--Be My Guest and sometimes Gaston
Hairspray--You Can't Stop the Beat and I Know Where I Have Been (if Motormouth is a true singing Diva!)
Urinetown--Run Freedom Run
Producers--Betrayed
Chicago--They Both Reached For The Gun
Les Mis--One Day More
Little Shop of Horrors--Downtown
Avenue Q--The whole damn show!

Thanks for your guys help. I was always under assumption that an 11 o'clock number and showstopper were the same thing. For example, Gimme Gimme in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Basically, what I am looking for are songs that both are the 11 o'clock numbers and get a big audience response.

For example, for Fiddler I would say "If I Were a Rich Man," but that isn't an 11 o'clock number. I will take your guys suggestions and make my CD.

An 11 o'clock number is a type of showstopper. For example, Rose's Turn is the quintessential 11 o'clock number and a showstopper. But "You Gotta Get a Gimmick" can stop the show, too. It's just not an 11 o'clock number. :)

And I hate to invoke the hated Cats, but "Memory" is a big-time 11 o'clock number, overused though it may be.
