Posted: 9/29/09 at 2:44pmThis Friday night, the Shrek finale is changing and they are adding "I'm A Believer" into the show. Sorry if this was posted already. (and yes, I used the search feature before I posted this).

Posted: 9/29/09 at 2:46pmToo little, too late, if true, but this is another example of moments in film that could be considered iconic and should not be cut. Now, where's Berry Gordy so we can hit him with a shovel and get mechanical licenses for "Sister Act"?

Are you serious?
Are they cutting the current finale, or adding "I'm a Believer" to the curtain call or after curtain call or something like that?

Posted: 9/29/09 at 3:01pmYeah! I am going on Friday so this is oughtta be interesting especially since I have seen it 3 times already. I will let everyone know on Friday if it is actually in the show or just still kept as the exiting song.

Posted: 9/29/09 at 3:06pmI would imagine that they are keeping "This is My Story" in the show because i think removing it and replacing it out with "I'm a Believer" wouldn't like end the show. I would think they would do like what they did in Legally Blonde where they sang a song after Curtain Call.

First of all, as the original post states, they are adding something, not replacing (therefore, they wouldn't eliminate the song).
Second, there is no official word on this yet. But I do remember the "I'm a Believer" exit music as well.

Ah, yes, but the original post did say the finale was "changing." A finale, as I understand it, is pre-curtain call. So to say it is changing would mean perhaps replacing "This is My Story."
Just looking at things in far too much detail than needed...

Well, I guess there are two ways to read it then. But, I highly doubt Shrek would eliminate an original song that perfectly wraps up the show to make room for "I'm a Believer." Especially for a pre-curtain call, as you mentioned. It just doesn't make sense.
