I was just wondering how high up the Shubert stage is. Blithe Spirit just went on (general) sale and the best seat found for the first performance was Row M Center Orchestra, but I also found Row A Seat 3 and just wondered if the stage might effect my view. Having been to one play where it really did (Gypsy), I am just curious. Thank you in advance. :)

Unrelated to the topic, but related to the show - this was posted when I tried to buy tickets a moment ago (telecharge).

Important Notice:
Tickets are currently on sale to American Express Cardmembers only.

For American Express Premium Access seating click here.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on December 20.

Is it not the 20th?

When I saw Spamalot, I sat in the front row (I forgot if the rows start on double letters - the chart I found said row A is the first row). Anyways, I sat right orchestra in the farthest seat on the right. I was so close to the stage that I could touch Patsy's shoe if I wanted to. Because I was all the way on the side, I was really cramped in my spot.

Since you are closer to the aisle, you won't have angled of a view as I did (and it certainly won't be as cramped), so it might not be as bad. But it would be awesome to be up that close; however, I felt that in terms of length, the Shubert was small, so Row M center orchestra would give you an excellent view (you would be more center and have a better overall view of the stage), and I suspect you would still be able to make out facial expressions. I also did SRO for Spamalot and could see everyone's expressions fine.

I would give them time to update their system. Usually tickets on varying days go on sale around 10 am, so perhaps they will release the block of tickets then. If you have any issues, I would call Telcharge - I believe their phone lines open 10 am.

millie_dillmount, thank you so much for both of your responses. The first post with specific details on the Shubert is greatly appreciated, as is the info about the phone lines opening at 10. Thank you for being so very helpful. :)

Oh, and I know tickets are just now going on sale, but does anyone happen to know of any discount codes that were announced with this? I really want to score good tickets, as this is the main reason for my upcoming trip. That being said, I'm not really digging the $120, so...

Again, thanks! Updated On: 12/20/08 at 08:24 AM

Wait a few more weeks and I'm sure you'll see a discount code pop up.
