Posted: 2/26/05 at 6:21pmI can't WAIT for this show. I've been a big fan of Carol Channing's, ever since she did a guest stint in the Boy From Oz when Hugh Jackman was out. God, she was great. Her silver tones wrapped around those songs...and that scene with Jerrod Emick was HOT. I needed a cigarette! This revival is going to be awesome!

Posted: 2/26/05 at 6:31pmBleh. Maybe the show was great, but I found the CD to be less than wonderful.

Posted: 2/26/05 at 7:25pmSIDE SHOW IS PHENOMENAL. Alice and Emily... oooooooohhhhhh sooooo good. Everything they touch, together or alone, turns to gold.
re: Side Show revival announced#14
Posted: 2/26/05 at 7:40pmI saw this post, and got way too excited. Side Show really does need to be revived, I think.

Posted: 2/26/05 at 7:52pmI think so too. There was a community theatre production here in NJ a few months ago, which was fun, but I'd like to see Sideshow get another shot on Broadway, maybe by Roundabout.
re: Side Show revival announced#16
Posted: 2/26/05 at 8:40pmHonestly, I wouldn't want to know of/see/ hear anyone but Alice and Emily in those roles. I know it sounds close minded... I'll try to stop.

"Bleh. Maybe the show was great, but I found the CD to be less than wonderful."
The CD's better than the show.
re: Side Show revival announced#18
Posted: 2/26/05 at 8:52pmOh. That's...unfortunate. Count me out if there ever is a revival, then. I could barely make it through the CD.

Also just announced: Harvey Fierstein will play Terry, Haley Joel Osment will play Buddy, and Natalie Venetia Belcon will done drag again to play Jake.
Shoshana Bean and Eden Espinosa will be the standbys for the twins, and Bernadette Peters will make a special guest appearance as The Fortune Teller three days a week due to the vocally demands of the role. The other 5 performances of the week will go to Liz Callaway.
re: Side Show revival announced#20
Posted: 2/26/05 at 9:03pmThe only way that they could revive SIDE SHOW is if they got Emily and Alice to reprise their roles, because I don't think the shows hardcore fans-and believe me, there are many-would accept anybody else.
re: Side Show revival announced#21
Posted: 2/26/05 at 9:04pmI actually think that Shoshana and Eden would do a bang-up job.

No no NO. How do these crazy rumors get started???
This is the REAL story, from an inside source:
Kristin Chenoweth will be playing both Daisy and Violet, but charging producers the price of two actors.
